Trident raises more than £2,000 for local homelessness charity

Eight members of the Trident team have successfully completed The Clock Tower Sanctuary’s annual half marathon hike from Lewes to Brighton, raising more than £2,000 to support young people experiencing homelessness across Brighton & Hove.

Taking place on 11 July 2026 during sweltering temperatures, the challenge saw the team cover over 13 miles across the South Downs, surpassing their original fundraising target of £1,600 thanks to the generosity of colleagues, customers, partners, friends and family.

The funds raised will help The Clock Tower Sanctuary continue providing essential services for 16- to 25-year-olds facing homelessness. As the city’s only drop-in day centre dedicated to this age group, the charity offers a safe and welcoming environment alongside practical and emotional support. Donations contribute towards services including hot meals, clean clothing, showers, housing guidance and wellbeing support, helping young people access the resources and opportunities they need to move forward.

Cara Creamer, Relationship Manager at Trident, who organised the team’s participation, said:

“We’re incredibly proud of everyone who took part and grateful to everybody who donated. Surpassing our fundraising target shows what can happen when people come together behind a cause that matters. The Clock Tower Sanctuary does invaluable work supporting young people across our city, and we’re pleased to have contributed to that effort.”

The fundraiser reflects Trident’s ongoing commitment to supporting local charities and community initiatives that create a lasting impact across Brighton & Hove.
