Trident has become an IASME Cyber Essentials Certification Body, bringing certification, practical guidance and long-term cyber resilience support together through a single trusted partner.
The accreditation also makes Trident the only Cyber Essentials Certification Body based in Brighton. While headquartered on the South Coast, Trident supports organisations across the UK to help make their IT a source of strength.
For many organisations, Cyber Essentials has become an important requirement for winning contracts, meeting stakeholder expectations and demonstrating a commitment to cyber security. Yet achieving certification can often feel like a compliance exercise rather than an opportunity to strengthen security practices.
As a Certification Body, Trident can guide organisations throughout the entire Cyber Essentials journey, from readiness and remediation through to certification and ongoing support, creating a more joined-up experience.
Simon Edwards, Head of Service Management & Delivery at Trident, said:
“The organisations we work with are looking for more than a certificate. They want confidence that their technology, processes and people are helping them stay secure and work effectively in an increasingly complex world.
Becoming an IASME Cyber Essentials Certification Body allows us to support clients in a more meaningful way. Rather than simply assessing against a standard, we work alongside organisations to understand their environment, help them address challenges and turn Cyber Essentials into a foundation for stronger cyber resilience.
It’s another step in our commitment to helping organisations use technology with confidence, supported by a team that understands both the technical requirements and the wider organisational objectives behind them.“
The accreditation forms part of Trident’s continued investment in cyber security services, further strengthening its ability to help organisations build strong technology foundations, navigate evolving security challenges and make informed decisions with confidence.
Backed by a team of IASME Accredited Assessors, Trident combines technical expertise, practical guidance and a partnership-led approach to help organisations turn Cyber Essentials into a stepping stone towards stronger, long-term cyber resilience.

Trident offers a zero-cost, zero commitment review that assesses an organisation’s IT, focusing on the use of Microsoft 365.
Cybersecurity is no longer just an IT issue. It is a business-critical priority. For C-suite/board members/senior leadership teams, the key question is not if a cyber threat will happen, but how well your organisation is prepared to handle it.
Cyber threats don’t wait, and neither should your defences. By taking five focused actions, you can immediately reduce your exposure, strengthen your resilience, and build confidence in your organisation’s ability to respond. And with Trident as your partner, you gain access to expert support, proven tools, and ongoing guidance, so your internal team can stay focused while we help you stay secure. And here’s where to start.
Over the past 10 years, Martlets has partnered with Trident to progressively modernise their IT environment. Martlets is a charity providing essential hospice care to people affected by terminal illness in Brighton and Hove, and surrounding areas.
Microsoft Windows 10 will reach the end of support on 14 October 2025, to focus on transitioning to its modern, security-enhanced platform – Windows 11.
After this date, devices running Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates or technical support. This change presents a valuable opportunity for organisations to plan ahead and ensure their IT environment remains secure, efficient, and aligned with future needs.
We’re excited to announce that Team Trident will be taking part in the Dragon Boat Race at Tilgate Park on Saturday 6 September 2025, in support of St Catherine’s Hospice.
