On 11 July, eight members of the Trident team will take on The Clock Tower Sanctuary’s annual half marathon hike from Lewes to Brighton, raising funds and awareness to support young people experiencing homelessness across Brighton and Hove.
The team is aiming to raise £1,600 to help The Clock Tower Sanctuary continue providing vital support to 16 to 25 year olds in the city. As the only drop-in day centre dedicated to this age group, the charity offers a safe, welcoming environment alongside practical and emotional support when it is needed most.
Funds raised will directly support essential services, including access to hot meals, clean clothing, showers, housing guidance and meaningful community support. Donations also help fund volunteer training and extend access to the Sanctuary’s facilities, ensuring more young people can benefit from its services over a sustained period.
Harry, 22, who has accessed support from The Clock Tower Sanctuary, explains the impact:
“Most importantly for me, CTS is a safe space. You can get food, support with housing, or simply have a shower and take care of yourself. It’s also a community for people in similar situations. I’d never experienced that before in my life.”
The initiative reflects Trident’s ongoing commitment to supporting the local community and contributing to causes that create long term impact.
Whether joining the hike or supporting from afar, the team is encouraging individuals and businesses to contribute, with every donation helping to make a meaningful difference.
